The Property: Camp Liberty is a restricted access facility that hosts 137 acres of prime wildlife property just west of Manchester, MI. 67 acres, about half the property, holds a variety of grass lands, food plots and millions of 18 different types of flowers. The other half is beautifully forested ridges, swamp areas, and wetlands. There is about a half mile of frontage on the beautiful River Raisin. Each area offers excellent opportunities to observe Michigan wildlife species such as deer, turkey, pheasant, coyote and fish for multiple species to include white suckers, small mouth bass, carp, pike, and pan fish. Each pre-arranged hunt or fishing outing gets a Veteran outdoors and up close and personal with Michigan’s natural wildlife resources.
Our Partners: Camp Liberty proudly partners with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources “Michigan Operation Freedom Outdoors” (MiOFO), and other wildlife partners like Pheasants Forever, Safari Club International, Ducks Unlimited, Wild Turkey Federation, Trout Unlimited, and others. These collaborative partnerships provide outstanding outdoor recreation opportunities to wounded Veterans and individuals with health challenges. They help in many ways to provide a support network that facilitates our guests recovery through connecting with nature.
