Atlas Roofing is a big supporter of Camp Liberty

Atlas Roofing from Grand Rapids, MI has become a major donor to Camp Liberty with multiple gifts of building suppliers for new Lodge.  The plant manager of their insulation plant has been very supportive of the project, and different divisions of their company donated floor insulation, wall sheathing plus insulation, roof sheathing plus insulation, and all the roofing materials for the Lodge.   We dared to ask them to donate again, and they stepped up and provided all of the roofing materials for the storage building as well.   The value of their donation is about $35K.  Their plant manager and PR team visited Camp Liberty and wrote this article and put it in their internal company newsletter.  Camp Liberty is really appreciative for Atlas Roofing’s support.  Please review that article and read about several disabled vets who have experienced some of the resources offered by Camp Liberty.

Donations from the Ann Arbor Lutheran School Letters

Lori Lewis is a teacher at St. Pauls Lutheran School in Ann Arbor and has a son currently serving in the US military.   During a late January service project that included her students, she chose Camp Liberty as the charity they wanted to support.   They found our website and signed up through our donor registration portal.  Camp Liberty was not sure what they had done, but was pleasantly surprised at their generosity and thoughtfulness.  The kids and the teaching staff actually collected items that can be used as supplies for our new lodge or given to vets who needed some of the personal care items.  There are many items that can be used at the lodge for when Camp Liberty holds organized events or when we have veterans spending the evening.

Besides the gifts, each child personally hand wrote a note to our veterans and they really tug at your heart.  It is so refreshing that a group of kids appreciate what our veterans are doing for America.  Our intent is to share the notes with veterans when they visit our lodge.
Thanks to Lori Lewis and her kids at St. Paul Lutheran School in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
